I cant say enough good things about the Tracker! I just bought it and it has helped me find my cat 3 times in the last 2 days- twice in the dark. It led me straight to him by showing me the direction he was in and how far away I was from him. When he moved I could tell within seconds. At night I turned on the light feature and could see exactly where he was. I feel so relieved not having to worry all night about wether he was eaten by a predator. I live in the country and have coyotes and owls to worry about. It clips securely to a halter collar I bought for him at the pet store. The collar was made for a small dog but works perfect for him. He got used to it very quickly! Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing technology!!! Worth every dollar!!

I have tried POD and WHISTLE, however, TRACTIVE GPS works far superior! It is much faster, more affordable and hardly any delays! I use it for both my dog and cats. We dont have a fenced property because we are on the beach, so having this trackers that are water proof is fantastic! I had to exchange WHISTLE 5 times and the POD 2 times! So far so good with TRACTIVE!

Using it only for LIVE tracking when walking off leash. One of our dogs love to runs off the trail and doesnt come when shes called. This way I can wait for her while shes checking things out and know where she is and meet her where shes getting back on the trail.

I am using this to track one our wandering Siamese. Works great! One thing I wish is that it also had a ability to play a sound for close location if he is hiding behind bushes. For the time being I also have a Tile attached as well for this reason. Frankly, I think he is wondering how the heck I am finding him!

Previously I bought the Garmin Tracker, when it first came out and for years I had no complaints. However, the third party providing the tracking service dropped out and I was forced to find a replacement. I tried several other devices and was pretty disappointed in either the hardware or tracking function. Before this device, the best was when I bought a couple of Pods and was pleased with the hardware, battery performance and ergonomics. However, the realtime tracking left lots to be desired. I have since heard the shortfall was in the tracking App which had been corrected (but have not verified). Web searches found dozens products promising everything I could want, but they are (still) in the development phase. Then I stumbled across Tractive, they offered a reduced price for purchasing a pair (I have two dogs) and the tracking service, not the least expensive I have seen, was reasonable when paying for two years in advance. Yes it was a risk on an unknown quantity, but it did workout for me. The device is very small and lightweight. Neither of my dogs notice it on their collars. I did have to get thinner collars before getting the retention clips (it comes with two sizes) to fit. So far they have been very secure (the company advertises a collar that fully encloses the device), but I would like to see how secure the clips are for dogs running through the brush. Battery life has been very good, about four days in the normal update mode. The App gives you a reading of battery status. Charging takes about 2.5 hours and is easy to connect to the charger. How often it updates position appears to be a function of how much they move around. When they are sleeping etc the update period can be as long as 20 minutes. Normal activities like walking it drops to every 5 minutes or so. The beauty of this device is the Live Tracking feature. While it pulls the battery down faster, it is the best reason to buy this device. It toggles on/off (remotely from the App) in less than a minute. Updates are once per second or so, if gives the units speed and height above sea-level (with the premium service) and the App map shows a solid red line of the pets progress. Thus you can toggle Live Tracking on/off to conserve power. It is so accurate I could tell which side of the road they were walking on. It also proves a feature that turns on a small LED light so night location is easier. They advertise that rain does not affect the integrity of the unit. So far I am very satisfied with my purchase. As side note, when my wife drove to Ohio, the devices both functioned flawlessly the entire trip. I have heard stories of pets getting away at rest stops or follows accidents and not being found before the family had to stop looking. This device would reduce this risk.

After problems with map accuracy and intermittent tracking accuracy from Whistle, I decided to give tractive a try. Glad I did!

I love this GPS. Small, inexpensive, worked great on the Scotty and a medium/small cat for a cross country move. I had a bit of trouble with the clip on the dogs thicker collar, and think the clip could use some design work BUT in all fairness we never had a chip fall off in the 7 days of CA to FL travel. An option for a larger battery would be nice. I did worry a bit while recharging, if that was the moment the cat would run off. We just swapped hers with the dogs. He wasnt much of a run away risk.

Excellent app. Tracks your pet in real-time or 24 hr. It works great. Definitely worth it for peace of mind. Easy to set up. The GPS is about the size of a tic tac box. Great for bigger dogs and cats. I wish that it was available in different sizes (SD card) to accommodate a kitten, smaller dogs etc. Nice app layout.

GPS system works fine. The way it is attached and secured to the collar is poor. I lost already 2 devices.

Track any pet you have directly on you phone. Set fences, get notified. Can only recommend.

Tolle Sache - super App

Every time I hit the i button, the app crashes! Now I cant change map style, see safe zone, accuracy, and more. I need to change map style as we take a lot of walks in the woods off marked roads. If I knew this feature didnt work, I would have thought twice about purchasing this device!

Great app and device. Its not perfect, but it works. The refresh should come faster and easier as a best improvement for next update. It sent me an alert when my dog left his safe zone. Im satisfied.

Pleasantly surprised at how quickly got up and going. Refreshes quickly and accurate location when picking up wayward dog by boat. Only concern is one of 4 screws already fell out.

We took in a feral/rejected black cat that had been injured . After he was fixed up we were convinced hed hit the road . This product is a little big for him but he doesnt seem to mind . Its given us great comfort and has worked very well. The imitations are GPS and not product related . We did have a small problem with an alarm going off when we tried to charge it but the service was great and it fixed itself after a reboot . I would recommend the product highly . At the cost of the device and the subscription is about 10% of the average investment in a stray cat!

Weve used the Tractive GPS for about 6 weeks and are delighted with it. We have it on an average sized cat and, although it looks a bit big on him, he doesnt mind it at all. We turn it on when he goes outside and it accurately reflects where he goes and it helps us find him when we need him to come in. Prior to having the device, he would almost always come back when we called him but the problem was the few times when he wouldnt. Now we can easily find him when he doesnt come back when we call and we dont need to worry. The iPhone app works well for monitoring his whereabouts and we prefer the iPhone app to the website. The battery life is fine. We recharge it about once a week. Julia and Ben (and Ollie)

Firstly I must say that I am very happy with the Tractive GPS as it is a great product, however I do have one warning for people ordering from their "Shop" from other countries outside of the European Union. I am situated in Canada and purchased an LED dog collar and a set of replacement clips for the GPS totalling $27.98. They charged $11.20 for shipping. My surprise was that I just received a supplemental invoice from Fedex for duties and taxes (which is normal I assume) plus an additional $10 for a prepayment fee. This is not mentioned when you order from their shop. So be warned that everything is an additional $10 tacked onto the bill that you will receive later from the carrier. My $27.98 purchase has now become $44.95.
